Henning Fangmann

Henning Fangmann is a certified specialist lawyer for copyright and media law at Spirit Legal. He is trusted by photographers, film-makers and other creative professionals, online businesses and start-ups, as well as international companies in matters of copyright and media law, competition law and trademark law, from contract initiation all the way through to enforcement in court.

Having previously worked as an in-house lawyer with a media company, he is particularly familiar with the licensing of film rights. Spirit Legal has benefited from his extensive expertise in the drafting, negotiation and enforcement of complex international licensing agreements and the legally compliant structuring of film projects since 2019. Henning Fangmann is well acquainted with the processes and market conditions of the creative industry, especially in the film sector.

He studied law in Leipzig and Budapest, completing his legal training in Leipzig and Berlin. He is pursuing his doctorate at Leipzig University on the subject of the lawfulness under European law of geoblocking feature films. He is a certified specialist lawyer for copyright and media law since 2023. A sport-loving family man, he is particularly fond of long-distance bike tours.
