IT, Competition, Trademark and Labour Law
Jan Marschner’s role at Spirit Legal LLP is to advise e-commerce enterprises and other IT service providers in matters concerning IT, trademark and competition law.
Before joining Spirit Legal LLP in 2014, Jan Marschner worked for two national law firms based in Saxony with a focus on commercial law, where he specialised in procedural law as well as competition and trademark law. He has led judicial and extrajudicial proceedings in the areas of commercial, labour and IT law. He qualified as a lawyer specialising in information technology law in 2013. Concurrently with his practical training at Leipzig District Court, he successfully participated in a specialist course for labour law and acquired the academic degree ‘Master of Laws’ in the field of ‘Law of Counsel and Legal Practice’, which complemented his law studies at the TU Dresden.
In addition to his work as a lawyer, Jan Marschner is chairman of the supervisory board of a Leipzig-based IT start-up.
He likes to get away from professional life by enjoying classic car rallies, activity-packed holidays at ski resorts and Mediterranean breaks with his wife and two children.
