Katrin Krietsch

E-Commerce, Competition, Contract and Travel Industry Law

Katrin Krietsch has been a valued member of the team at Spirit Legal since 2014. A travel industry law specialist, she advises dealers, service providers and developers on all aspects of online marketing.

She is also the person to speak to when it comes to specific provisions that online distributors may need to observe – whether in Germany or at the European level. This might include the German Packaging Ordinance, laws aimed at protecting young people, or one of the many specific provisions for individual product groups. Katrin Krietsch also draws up travel sales contracts as well as terms and conditions for agencies, operators and service providers. Before joining Spirit Legal LLP, she spent several years at Händlerbund e. V., Europe’s largest association of online traders, in Leipzig, where she provided legal advice on how to keep online sales portals legally compliant. Apart from advising members, during this time she wrote numerous articles and white papers on current e-commerce and online trading issues; these have been published via the association’s in-house channels as well as in external media. Born in Leipzig, she studied law in her home town.

Katrin Krietsch is a member of the non-profit German Society for Travel Law (DGfR).

She lives in Leipzig with her young son, so it’s not unusual to find her at a playground or in one of Leipzig’s many parks.
