Sabine Fuhrmann

Commercial and Corporate Law, Venture Capital, Labour Law, Compliance

Sabine Fuhrmann is a managing partner at Spirit Legal and an attorney-at-law specialising in commercial and corporate law, corporate finance and labour law.

Sabine Fuhrmann advises young companies, SMEs and international corporations on the establishment, expansion and sale of businesses. She assists in the development of business activities as well as in venture capital and business angel financing and reorganisations. Her main areas of expertise are commercial and corporate law, corporate finance and labour law. A further focus of her work is the law governing the legal profession and advising members of liberal professions and their partnerships. Since founding the law firm Spirit Legal together with Peter Hense in 2011, she has been a managing partner.

Sabine Fuhrmann assists her clients in enforcing their interests in court as well as in defending themselves against unjustified claims – before ordinary courts and also arbitral tribunals.

Sabine Fuhrmann is at home in traditional corporate law: entrepreneurs trust her advice on compliance and liability avoidance in management. Before founding the firm, she headed the legal department of an IT company and worked for various national and international law firms in Leipzig, Berlin and London.

A specialist in commercial and corporate law, she has also completed the theoretical training to become a specialist for both labour and tax law. In addition, she is a qualified compliance officer.

She lectures for the German Hotel Academy (DHA) and other training providers.

Sabine Fuhrmann is interested in the politics of her profession and serves in numerous voluntary positions. She has been a member of the board of the Saxon bar association (RAK) since April 2017 and its president since April 2021. She is also involved in numerous committees and professional associations.

In her free time, Sabine Fuhrmann can be found enjoying the Leipzig art scene, with a good book in a café, or on home leave in the Harz highland area.
