Sabrina Burkert is an attorney-at-law at Spirit Legal. She studied law in Halle, Białystok and Chongqing. Alongside her studies, she completed a Master of Laws with a specialisation in commercial law. During her legal training, she worked in an internationally renowned auditing and consulting firm in Delhi.

The focus of her work extends to copyright and media law, trade mark and competition law as well as IT law. As an expert in the field of e-commerce, she advises start-ups, influencers, service providers and innovative companies of all sizes and nationalities on developing and implementing their business models. She assists her clients with questions regarding the lawfulness of written, audio and visual advertising, and at the same time helps them to enforce and defend themselves against claims. Her work always focuses on what her clients need.

She can draw on a wealth of experience both in and out of court. Prior to joining Spirit Legal, she worked for several years for a national commercial law firm specialising in industrial property rights and IT law. She also represented the (members’) interests of Europe’s largest online trade association in court.

She is a qualified and certified data protection officer (Udis).

In her free time, she loves going on adventures in unfamiliar countries and cultures, her backpack serving as her constant companion. Whether climbing the world’s peaks, surfing in the sea, or paragliding in the air, standing still is never an option for her.
